The renowned Michelin-starred restaurant “Il Patio,” run by the Vineis family and a landmark of Italian fine dining for over forty years, is preparing to begin a new chapter in its history by moving from Pollone to the center of Biella.
In March, it will open at Palazzone, the city headquarters of Banca Patrimoni Sella & C. — the Sella Group company specialized in the management and administration of private and institutional wealth — further strengthening its connection with the territory and actively contributing to the cultural life of the city.
The opening of “Il Patio” at Palazzone stems from the collaboration between the Vineis family and Banca Patrimoni Sella & C., built on a shared vision: enhancing businesses and historic places as drivers of relationships, culture, and identity. The partnership aims to create new forms of urban vitality, going beyond the concept of hospitality alone.
In recent years, Palazzone has progressively expanded its role, becoming a meeting place for businesses, citizens, and culture. Thanks to the bank’s Artistic Direction, the historic building has also become a venue for public events, including exhibitions and cultural initiatives. Now, with the arrival of “Il Patio,” it adds another important piece to this transformation.
The move from Pollone represents a conscious and forward-looking choice, born from the desire to evolve a stable and long-lasting entrepreneurial project, broadening its horizons while strengthening its bond with the local territory and community.
The gastronomic vision of “Il Patio,” always attentive to supply chains and focused more on people than on the spectacle of fine dining, remains one of the project’s core values. The main new feature is the Bistrot: alongside the Michelin-starred restaurant, awarded one Michelin star since 2003, a new space has also been created to offer an alternative dining experience with more flexible formulas, different dining times, and the possibility of welcoming a wider audience, while maintaining the identity and quality standards that have distinguished the project over time.
The shared goal is to create a space similar to an “Urban Center”: dynamic and inclusive environments where businesses from different sectors collaborate to generate social and cultural value. With this vision, Palazzone aspires to become a modern Agora, increasingly open and integrated into the life of the city.
